The best longer term approach to building your client list is through a content-rich electronic newsletter (electronic magazine -- ezine) that site visitors sign-up for (giving your permission to send them information via email -- called opt-in). These ezines are forms of list servers and I run several myself. These services are available free (www.topica.com, www.groups.yahoo.com which include banner ads). Even better yet, just use Ken Evoy's Site Build It! software to develop your site the ezine list service is included -- along with an e-commerce package! An alternative approach is to use Internet Marketing's latest version of his Mailloop Business Automation Software. You can host your own newsletter service and set it to run on autopilot -- that is all the supporting functions are automatic. There are multiple bonus features such as automated e-book distribution. You also can use the software to provide a newsletter service to existing and potential clients. It would be an ideal service to combine, as I do, with services helping companies use the Internet to promote local business (see my online business idea of setting up a home-based consulting practice for doing this). One of the best ways of getting lots of traffic is to hire a sales force that will send people to your site ready to buy your products/services. Whoa you say! Can I do that? You bet! Set yourself up a great affiliate program and you will have the best sellers in the world working for you. So what does it take to do this? You will have either to
